Okay so my title may actually have nothing to do with the topic I want to share with you.. Okay maybe a little. I really need some hot sauce, Tabasco or not. You see they have this spicy pepper here thats called aji, it’s spicy but not like our spicy it’s a little less tasteful and alot more fire. Stop the bus; I’m getting off here

I’ve been trying to figure out what to write for the past few days but I noticed in two weeks of doing the same thing in the morning, waiting for the bus, I’ve seen a lot more then you would have ever thought to see at a bus stop. Usually we wait for the bus for about an hour everyday, sometimes less, sometimes more. There’s no set schedule for the bus so we’re lucky when one shows up. (This whole waiting process is so we can get to the orphanage, which is about 30 minutes from Nauta.) As we wait there’s a lot of commotion around us, as van drivers rush to fill...

Jungle Livin’

Hola from the Jungle! Going on ten days in beautiful Nauta, Peru, and God has been so sweet to us. The girls and I have spent the last week or so getting to know this town and becoming accustomed to life here in the Amazon. In the small amount of time we have been here, we have met some truly amazing people and have already began forming so many special relationships. Personally, I can not believe how fast I have grown to love this place and how much of my heart these people have already stolen. I feel truly blessed to be a part of this adventure, and I think I speak for all of the girls...

We have arrived!

Hello everyone! We have arrived safe and sound in the middle of the amazon jungle! We had a good travel day, God’s hand was for sure one us.  Your girls have already fallen in love with the children here. I know God is going to use them in mighty ways. We have spent a little time exploring the town and getting familiar with the area.  We will post more stories, and updates in the coming weeks! Please continue to keep us in your prayers as we bring Jesus to the people in the village of Nauta.

Peru Arrival!

Our Fall 2014 Peru team has officially arrived at the airport in Lima Peru, meet up with their contact and is currently traveling to their ministry city!  Their leaders called about 30 minutes ago and their travel from Atlanta was uneventful and smooth.  Having flown through the night, they are a mixture of exhausted and excited. The team will spend the coming days getting introduced to their ministry, coming to know the culture, and finding a routine for the months ahead.  They will be getting internet within the week so that they can communicate home and share more about...
