If someone would have told me last year that this summer I would be bathing in the Amazon River, hand washing my clothes, and eating spaghetti in the middle of the jungle, I would have told them they were insane…but that is what I’m doing and I love it. We have been at our new home for about a week now. I would tell you our exact location, but I honestly don’t even know it myself. We took about a 2 hour bus ride from Iquitos to Nauta and then hopped on a boat from there for about an hour and suddenly we were here. At our new home we are surrounded by cows and chickens (and probably many other scary things). We thought we would be tenting but we actually have wooden bunk beds and use our sleeping pads for comfort. There is a roof and walls on our house but no doors, and a few open places where we have hung extra mosquito nets to keep the bugs out. It’s pretty cozy and we all love it. Its crazy that I have only known these people for a week, it feels like we have known each other forever. So many memories have already been made and I can’t wait to see what else happens. We only get wifi once a week, so stay tuned!
From Peru to you,
